Moving from an inland city to a coastal town often involves changes in pace, community structure and access to amenities. “It is important for buyers to spend time in the area before committing,” says Goosen. “Understanding the lifestyle is just as important as understanding the property.”
Schooling, healthcare and access to essential services should also be part of the decision making process, particularly for families. “Relocation is not just about the property, it is about the entire living environment,” Goosen adds.
Ultimately, successful relocation requires a balance between lifestyle aspirations and practical planning. “When done correctly, relocating to the coast can be incredibly rewarding,” says Goosen. “But it needs to be approached with careful consideration.”
