The colonial farm style guest lodge is run as a well-known, self-catering or fully catered lodge, that is accredited by the Guest House Guild on the Garden Route and rated as Comfort/Luxury, which is the equivalent of 4 stars.

There is a beautiful 25-meter-long, ozone, chlorine-free swimming pool which ensures a healthy swim with amazing north-facing views to the spectacular Outeniqua Mountains. An ozone generator and pool filter ensure clean and healthy ozone-enriched water in the swimming pool.

The guest lodge has a reception area, a spacious north facing, open plan dining area seating 12 or 14 people, with a massive couch set in a half circle of windows opening onto exquisite views of the pool and mountain. Just off the dining area is a large chef’s kitchen where all the magic happens. Granite tops, a spacious pantry, large gas stoves and a big industrial extractor fan to ensure a smoke free kitchen when those steaks are sizzling on the gas stoves. It has a single room opening off the reception area, that can either be used as a bedroom, or an office, but is currently utilized for storage. This room also opens onto big en-suite bedroom with a full bathroom that also, opens up to the main veranda with direct access to the swimming pool, and three self- catering suites; the Family suite( 2 bedrooms), the Blue suite and the Honeymoon suite, all have their own private verandas and separate entrances, detailed below.

The accommodation is spacious, serene and beautiful – even if you don’t leave your room, you will have a holiday. All the suites have separate entrances and private verandas. The bathrooms all have showers and Victorian Slipper Baths. Each kitchen is equipped with an oven with a two-plate hob, a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and all the necessary kitchen utensils, and each suite has a braai (barbeque) area with a braai grid.

The Honeymoon Suite Sleeps two adults only. It is a charming first floor self-catering unit. The main bedroom contains a queen size, four poster bed. The private bathroom has a Victorian slipper bath, toilet, wash basin and standalone shower. It has a stunning lounge/dining room and a kitchenette. It has a huge private veranda with a table, chairs and a massive couch. The sunset and sunrise views are spectacular from the Honeymoon suite.

The Cottage sleeps five. It is a free-standing two-bedroom, one-bathroom, spacious self-catering unit with an open plan kitchenette, dining table and lounge area. The main bedroom contains a king size bed (or two single beds) while the second bedroom contains one single bed and a bunk bed. The private bathroom has a Victorian style bath, toilet, wash basin and standalone shower. The Cottage has its own outdoor patio with table and chairs.

The Blue Suite is a charming one-bedroom suite that sleeps two people and can be altered to fit either a king-sized bed or two single beds. A bed (or cot) can be provided in the lounge area for a child. The Blue Suite is a self-catering unit with an open plan kitchenette and living area. The private bathroom has a giant Victorian slipper bath, toilet, washbasin, and stand-alone shower. It also has its own outdoor covered veranda with table and chairs.

The Family Suite sleeps five. It is a two-bedroom one-bathroom, spacious self-catering unit with an open plan kitchenette, dining table and lounge area. The main bedroom contains a king size bed (or two single beds) while the second bedroom contains a single bed and a bunk bed. The private bathroom has a Victorian slipper bath, toilet, wash basin and standalone shower. It also has its own veranda with table and chairs. Braai area is available in the garden.

There is a stand-alone cottage with a separate lounge dining room and a kitchenette a big main bedroom and a second bedroom. Double French doors open out from the main bedroom and lounge onto a private garden and spectacular sunset views. The owners live in this cottage.

Additional infrastructure includes a separate laundry building, a large barn that has feed storage areas, workshop/tool area, a large tack room and large foaling stables. The original dairy building has a large open section with a separate butchery room and a cold room that needs a new cooling unit. The butchery room was previously used to process and pack meats but is not currently in use.

The property’s water needs are provided from three sources that includes a borehole, a large in-stream earth dam on the north-western corner of the property and rainwater that is collected from the roofs. There are two additional earth dams on the property as well as a second borehole that is not in use at the moment.

The water from the earth dam in the stream is pumped with a lister petter diesel pump and the borehole is equipped with an electric submersible pump. Smaller pressure pumps supply water from the storage tanks to all the needed points across the houses, buildings and animal drinking points. All the water runs through a filter to ensure clean drinking water at all times.

Electricity is supplied by a three-phase 25kVA Eskom connection, and a 5kVA diesel generator serves as backup during load shedding periods. All stoves and geysers on the property are gas operated.

Attractions in the nearby area includes Hartenbos and Klein Brak beaches that are 20 minutes away, only 40minutes (57km) to George Airport, ostrich farms around Oudtshoorn are 30 minutes away and only 82km to the world-known Cango Caves.

The horses are not included in the sale and can be negotiated separately. A list of loose items and furniture is included in the sale.
