Like Vleesbaai further to the east, Fynbosstrand is a shareblock company controlled by a Board of Directors. You become a 1/58 shareholder in the whole farm. There is no time limit for a shareholder to build but you pay a levy each year for the availability of services. The Estate is not dependent on any services from the local authority. It has its own water supply, internal gravel roads and refuse removal.
The annual levies paid by shareholders cover amongst others the above services, property taxes payable to the local authority, plus the salary of employee/s and maintenance costs.
