This farm unit comprises of 2 larger tracts of land along the D104 gravel road in the Kingsley / Blood River area, between the towns of Vryheid and Dundee and just north of the historic Blood River Battlefield in Northern KwaZulu-Natal, within an agricultural node that has mixed farming, viz., pivot irrigated summer grains, dry land grains, cultivated dry land pastures and natural grazing. However, large extensive livestock ranching (beef cattle) is the dominant farm use, with some game ranches also noted in the surrounds.
3 x active boreholes, 1 with solar pump
6 x reservoirs @ 50 000 to 80 000 liters
1 x small ground dam
Topography: The farm unit is mostly level to undulating, varying from some few steeper slopes along the valley (428 Ptn 1) and with rolling topography for the larger part, ranging from 1,213 metres to 1,343 metres above sea level. Soils...

Topography: The farm unit is mostly level to undulating, varying from some few steeper slopes along the valley (428 Ptn 1) and with rolling topography for the larger part, ranging from 1,213 metres to 1,343 metres above sea level. Soils Soils in these BRG's are duplex and plinthic and defined as varying from Arenosols3 (AR3) (Greyish, sandy excessively drained soils) through Luvisols2 (LV2 ) (Soils with a marked clay accumulation, strongly structured and a non-reddish colour) on arable lands in general, to Leptosols2 (LP2) (Soils with minimal development, usually shallow on hard or weathering rock on steeper slopes, with or without intermittent diverse soils. Lime generally present in part or most of the landscape). Fertility is generally average to good and the physical properties of the soils are favorable, albeit that shallower soils on steeper slopes are subject to erosion if mismanaged . According to the soil fertility and analytical services results on the soils samples undertaken by the Department of Agriculture in June 1999, the fertility levels of the soils on the arable lands were adequate and generally met the Department of Agricultures mean norms.
It might be possible to buy the current cattle on the farm together with the land.
Viewing strictly by appointment.
