When you enter St Helena Bay, you are welcomed by “people of the earth” residents, where snoek, mussels and crayfish are a way of life. Situated 150km North of Cape Town lies our picturesque fishing village St Helena Bay. Our unspoiled beaches make this a playground for surfers, canoeists, and yachtsmen, as well as a paradise for bird watchers. With the bays calm waters, Dolphins and Southern Right Whales are often spotted off the coastline. Here you will find a variety of restaurants, from cozy to beach front.
St Helena bay is uniquely situated on the northern side of the Cape Peninsula. It is the only place in South Africa where you will find North facing beaches. Also due to its situation you will find calmer beaches where the water laps up against the coastline. St Helena Bay is fortunate that it’s got it’s own mountain range called Patrysberg. Patrysberg being the highest at 264m allows you to get spectacular view of the harbour and St Helena. Another advantage of the Mountain is you are often greeted in the mornings with a cool haze. Spring is a very nice time of the year, everything and everyone is coming out of hibernation.
