Hello .. My name is Shelley Slee.
I grew up in the coastal town of Amanzimtoti with maiden name Rolling, to which my father was Mayor for some years. Hello .. My name is Shelley Slee.
I grew up in the coastal town of Amanzimtoti with maiden name Rolling, to which my father was Mayor for some years. I got married the year after finishing matric, and 'trekked' to Pietermaritzburg (the long way round via the Comrades Marathon route) in the pouring rain of September 28 years ago - the floods of 1987 - with our 7-month-old daughter Charne', and following all our semi-drenched belongings on the back of a tarpaulin-covered truck! Luckily that wasn't my introduction to "SLEEpy Hollow" ... for years as a competitive Ballroom & Latin American champion I had been dancing in the beautiful brick City Hall and Imperial Hotel Ballroom, and always loved driving into the spectacularly lit-up city centre of PMB, that soon became my home - and ironically was childhood home to my mother Janet - whose side if the family, the Brittain family, are old Maritzburgers. Exactly 3 years later in 1990 I had a son, and 3 years after that I became a single mom. My 2 adult children, together with my family and close friends plus my career and clients, are my life!
I have been in Real Estate for 11 years, 8 of those most awesome years with Re/MAX, and I can't imagine myself doing anything different or being anywhere different ... I am passionate about people and property, professionalism and performance ... I love my 'job', my relationships with my colleagues and the clients around me and the blessings they all bring me.
In 2012 I took a leap of faith by venturing out to fulfil an opportunity and a challenge to help open, build and grow a then unknown sales brand in PMB, whuch together with an ex-colleague we achieved. In 2013 I was personally placed #2 in KZN and in November 2014 I was placed #2 NATIONALLY within that property group, losing to an agent from another town but winning a cruise for 2 that I haven't yet been able to go on and enjoy with my mom - but is being planned for early next year.
In the middle of this year, 2015, I made the decision to come back "home" to the welcoming arms of my Re/Max family and the love, support, encouragement and caring that is so typically Re/MAX MIDLANDS.
I strive to provide an excellent service and property experience for all my clients, old and new ... and I look forward to sharing your property journey with YOU.
