I was born and bred in England and came to South Africa as a teenager and lived on a farm in Mpumalanga. My love for nature and the African bush was fostered there, proverbially as per Karen Blixen: “I had a farm in Africa…”.
I studied languages at the University of Pretoria with the goal of travelling the world to experience different countries & cultures. After my studies I worked in Public Relations & Sales with a leading hotel group. This afforded me the opportunity of dealing with the government, Heads of State & various foreign dignitaries. I studied languages at the University of Pretoria with the goal of travelling the world to experience different countries & cultures. After my studies I worked in Public Relations & Sales with a leading hotel group. This afforded me the opportunity of dealing with the government, Heads of State & various foreign dignitaries. I garnered an understanding of dealing with the nuances and protocols that are of the utmost importance in the hospitality industry. During this time, I also obtained a Travel & Tourism diploma.
The travel-bug was still calling me, and I decided to venture forth and became a flight attendant. This allowed me to nourish my wanderlust and experience the world and meet interesting people. To this day I have so many fond memories of my adventures and look forward to many more as part of the Pam Golding family. Career-wise I learnt to deal with people from various walks of life and handling many different situations.
I lived and worked in London and Luxembourg for a period of time. Being in the heart of Europe, I was afforded the opportunity to realise my travel dreams. I fell in love with the cities, their cuisine, neighbourhoods, architecture, and curiosities. Still flavours and smells take me back in time to the colours and vibrancy of different places.
Upon my return to South Africa, my sister Juliet and I embarked on the exciting new venture of owning our own company specializing in safaris, as well as events, launches & exhibitions. Going on safaris instilled a love of wildlife photography which is a passion of mine, capturing moments in time with my individual perspective.
Over the past two decades, myself and Juliet, have been involved in sales, marketing, and project management, dealing with clients from all walks of life. Our company was focussed on the corporate, tourism and hospitality sector and this affords me a unique approach towards dealing with the buying and selling of some of the most prestigious guesthouses in the Pretoria area.
Project management remains a great passion, attending to all aspects from the conceptualisation and initialisation, through to the activation. Being involved with a project from the start and stepping back once completed gives me great satisfaction and a sense of personal accomplishment.
I pride myself on excellent work ethics conducted with honesty, kindness and integrity and living a purpose driven life.
I have a sincere, enthusiastic & conscientious attitude combined with a caring nature. As a proud member of the Pam Golding family, I carry the core values of professionalism & outstanding client service into everything I do.
