Whilst initially I had a fundamental knowledge of farming, having run a small herd of beef cattle, over the years I have gained a wealth of information encompassing a variety of farming enterprises from timber to dairy to cropping to piggeries, poultry, sheep and vegetables.After having successfully run my own businesses in Durban for 35 years, I felt a career change was needed and because of my interest and involvement in property, this resulted in my leaning towards the real estate industry.
