About Velma Van Den Berg

In 1981 my husband and I moved to Stellenbosch, from Johannesburg. It is here in this beautiful valley that we wanted to start a family and bring our children up.

Initially I worked on a well-known wine estate as a bookkeeper for 10 years. However in need of a fresh challenge, my love of being with people and deep interest in property found me starting a new career as an estate agent in 1995.

I completed the Estate Agents Board exam in 1997 and in 1998 received the Certificate of Residential Specialist for South Africa. In 2012 I passed both the NQF4 and then the NQF5 principle agent qualification. I successfully ran my own estate agency for 13 years.
