About Dee Makgathu

I was born and bred in South Africa to a native Zimbabwean dad who found himself in the streets of Johannesburg in the early 70s and fell in love with a stunning girl from Limpopo. I was very fortunate to have experienced the beauty of both countries and created some wonderful memories. As a young girl, I had always dreamt of visiting London UK. When I passed my A-levels my parents granted me my wish and let me visit my cousin in England. My short visit turned into an 18-year stay. In those 18 years, I gained 2 degrees and qualified as a Mental Health Practitioner, completed aNHS Leadership pathway, married a wonderful husband, bought properties, and had 4 gorgeous babies. As fate may have it, I found my way back home following the untimely passing of my parents within 8 months of each other. I then found myself in an Education space, a business that was run by my late parents. My passion has always been in Real Estate and I realized a lifelong dream when I became part of the Fine and Country family. With a fused background of Education and Psychosocial Health, I’m confident that my warm nature and desire to impart knowledge is felt by all those I encounter in my Real Estate journey. Most importantly, I am a fellow neighbor and after living in the Randburg area for some time, I know what our area has to offer. As a wife, I have perfected the skill of appealing to different palates. Likewise, I believe there is no ‘one size fits all’ in the Property space; therefore, I’m here to ensure every client receives the tailor-made service they deserve.

Fine and Country showcases one of the best staff recognition awards ceremonies I have witnessed. I have had the pleasure of attending 2 of them and each time I’m inspired and encouraged to strive for excellence. Our Team recognizes special calendar events and we celebrate them in style. We recently celebrated Easter together by having breakfast at a stunning venue, and showcasing our Easter Bonnets. Our Christmas Parties are elegant and fun. Being graced by the presence of our CEO as well as our significant support partners put the icing on the cake.
