She graduated from the University of Cape Town with a law degree and completed Articles at Werksmans Attorneys in Johannesburg. In 2006 she was admitted as an attorney and joined Standard Bank's Investment Banking Division. In 2015 she returned to Cape Town and focused on raising her son and doing legal work for the World Wildlife Fund.
