Singh moved to East London in 1995 and joined the firm Yazbeks (J.A Yazbek & Co as it was known then). As a young graduate at the age of 22, he quickly established himself and has been with the firm ever since. He worked as an accountant, financial manager and thereafter pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Soon thereafter he wrote his board exams and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in Grahamstown.
Having served his articles with the late Mr Mark Yazbek and coming from a strong commerce and legal background, Singh has been practicing as an attorney specializing in commercial law, investment practice, property law, debt collection and the administration of estates. Singh is also a keen entrepreneur, property investor and property developer too. Further, as an advocate of community service he has served on the Board of REHAB (The Association for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disability) as a Management Treasurer for a period of 4 years. Together with this, he has served on the Executive Committee as Secretary and currently serves in the capacity of Trustee at his spiritual devotion to the SSA .Mr Singh is happily married with two teenage daughters that are still at school. For leisure he is keen on gardening, landscaping and a bit of fishing. He enjoys motoring journalism, stand-up comedy and music. He is also a keen traveller having visited many parts of the world in earlier years.
At Practice, he is currently joined by 2 Professional Assistants, Ms Lanese Jonas (LLB) and Miss Kanya Ntando (LLB). Together, Lanese and Kanya have expertise in Family Law, Labour Law, Civil and Criminal Litigation and Debt Collection. Further, he is supported by several of the prevailing staff members of the late Mr Yazbek of Yazbeks, all of whom have been within the firm for many years with different levels of expertise. The firm is currently on the Panel of major banks and they are 100 percent BEEE compliant. Taking the reins where the late Mr Mark Yazbek left off, Mr Singh continues to service the greater East London communities with legal expertise and assistance.
Mr Singh continued (and still continues) the Practice that was left to him by his lifelong mentor, friend and erstwhile partner, the late Mr Mark Yazbek but considers that it is time to create his own legacy (guided by his friend and college, Advocate Barry Roux) and will now be utilizing his name in naming the Practice going forward.
All existing and future clients are too kindly note that we are the same firm, with several of the existing staff compliment and continues to provide the same service and expertise that has been servicing the greater East London and Border areas for the past 80 years.
