Michael Francis was born on the 22 June 1955. He completed his schooling at Graeme College in Grahamstown and his tertiary education at Rhodes University where he obtained his B.Proc Degree in 1978. He served Articles of Clerkship at the firm Green, Truter and Douglas in Grahamstown and was admitted as an Attorney on the 22nd February 1979. He then moved to East London and joined the firm, F.W. Cooper and Ryan as a Professional Assistant and on the death of the late Abe Kaplan he joined the firm of Marshall & Kaplan as a Professional Assistant. In 1984 he as admitted as a Conveyancer and Notary Public and throughout his career he has focussed on Conveyancing and Commercial Law.
