Trophy wines tasting in Joburg & CT

06 Jun 2013

The Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show 2013 public tastings take place on Friday 7 June in Sandton, Johannesburg and on Thursday 13 June in Cape Town

Wine lovers can expect to sample the industry’s best wines entered into 38 categories covering a wide range of varieties and wine styles – from bubbles, sauvignons and rieslings to cabernets, shiraz, merlots and Cape Port with some lesser-known varieties making an appearance.

These single night tastings showcase all the wines achieving Trophy, Gold and Silver medals at this year’s judging held in May.

Now in its 12th year, the competition is widely considered the country's most revered wine selection process and attracts more than 1 000 wines annually – all rigorously assessed ‘blind’ by a panel of highly regarded international and local palates.
