Townes appointed to Seta board for real estate

Brent Townes CEO of Sotheby's International Realty in SA, has been appointed to the Real Estate Board of the Services Seta, which is charged with improving the professionalism of the industry by aligning all training with SAQA standards.

He joins other real estate heavyweights such as Neville McIntyre of Jigsaw Holdings and Pat Acutt of Acutts on the board, which is chaired by Dr Willie Marais of the Institute of Estate Agents and also includes representatives of the Estate Agency Affairs Board.

Townes will be responsible for strategy development and also sits on the Quality Council for Trade and Occupations.
