Seeff Queensburgh on a roll and scooping up awards

13 May 2015

Seeff has experienced significant and steady growth in KZN, with sales volumes increasing by an average of 23% per annum.

Eve Gangiah of Seeff Queensburgh scooped awards for selling the top number of units in 2014 in the whole of KZN for the sixth year in a row, and is ranked number one nationally for selling the highest number of units in any Seeff branch countrywide. Here she receives her awards from Seeff Chairman Samuel Seeff.

This is according to Dave Jones, Regional Manager of Seeff KZN, who says it was also reported that during 2014 and going into 2015, Seeff Queensburgh had its best performance in the last 5 years.

This was reflected by the raft of awards they took home from the recent Seeff KZN Annual Awards Evening held at The Coastland Hotel in Umhlanga.

Jan Vermeulen, Licensee of Seeff Queensburgh, says the growth in property sales in Queensburgh is due to developers getting back into the market.

Seeff Queensburgh agent Eve Gangiah claimed the award for selling the top number of units in 2014 in the whole of KZN for the sixth year in a row. Not only that, she also ranked number one nationally for selling the highest number of units in any Seeff branch countrywide, an outstanding achievement. She was just pipped at the post by Seeff Umhlanga in terms of rand value of units sold

Bonita Ramsaroop, also from Seeff Queensburgh, scored second highest in KZN on number of units rented and fourth highest in rand value for rentals. Jenny Gabriel took 10th place in KZN for number of units sold, as well as being the runner up Newcomer of the Year. Braam Botha and Sharmala Reddy were also both among the top 20 agents in KZN for number of units sold.

Vermeulen says Mohamed Hasan Alli, who finished up in their rental department earlier this year to move over to sales, still managed to receive a top 10 rental agent award for number of units let.

“Joeline Stigling was Administrator of the Year for our branch, and is a pillar of strength for the agents. She has had to take on a lot more responsibility as our Manager, Michelle Vermeulen, went on to become a Licensee of Seeff Pinetown together with Mike Licina.”

Seeff Chairperson, Samuel Seeff, says this is an outstanding result for Seeff Queensburgh, and they are extremely proud of them and their growth over the past seven years.

“The Seeff brand continues to make great inroads into the property market in KZN, which will continue to be bolstered by our opening new branches in this province.”

In terms of the property market in Queensburgh, Vermeulen says that owing to demand, there is a shortage of units priced between R850 000 and R1 200 000.

“We have only seven units still available in Milkwood Estate, which is where top KZN seller Eve Gangiah made 34 of her total of 50.5 sales for the year. Another development planned for early in August in Malvern will have three-bedroom homes priced at R875 000.”

There is a strong need for units in estates with security, he says. Many of the buyers in these estates are buying for the first time, while the more mature buyers tend to buy in them when scaling down.

“Another reason for the uptick in new unit buying is the fact that they are going greener, with the likes of solar geysers and low energy lighting being used,” he says.
