The Davinci is one of 13 Legacy hotels in the country that will provide host accommodation to Fifa officials and sponsors of the tournament and the hotel was fully booked from day one.
The Davinci is the fourth Legacy hotel-and-residential development built next to the Nelson Mandela Square. It is probably also the last as there is no available land left in this sought-after area.
Bart Dorrestein, CE of Legacy Group, says it will hopefully be another iconic development in the Sandton CBD.
He says Fifa will be playing host to the tournament from its headquarters in Sandton and he expects that this hotel, together with the Michelangelo Towers, the Michelangelo Hotel, the Sandton Convention Centre and the Intercontinental Hotels, will be playing an integral role during the next eight weeks.
The Davinci boasts 166 rooms and 54 exclusive one-, two- and three-bedroom units, which will be placed in a rental pool.
“Legacy has not lost sight of the fact that the World Cup will come to an end, and that the tourism sector will go from strength to strength,” says Dorrestein. – Sake24
