RE/MAX Panache achieve over R900m

25 Mar 2014

Despite a challenging economic environment surrounding the property market during 2013, RE/MAX Panache managed to soar to new heights achieving over R900 million in sales, making it the best year in the history of the company. It is no wonder that the RE/MAX Panache office walked away with some of the top awards at the RE/MAX Annual awards event held earlier this year at the Southern Sun Elangeni.

Despite a challenging economic environment surrounding the property market during 2013, RE/MAX Panache managed to soar to new heights achieving over R900 million in sales, making it the best year in the history of the company.

This is according to Grant Gavin, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Panache, who says while the market conditions in 2013 were a marked improvement from the previous few years, last year was not without its challenges. However, our office was able to achieve some remarkable results. We rank amongst the top five RE/MAX offices countrywide, which in itself is an achievement when looking at the calibre of real estate professionals working within the brand.

Gavin was recently awarded as the Top Broker/Owner in the country based on the increase in sales in his office, increase in agent productivity, contribution to the community and his leadership within the group. He has been a member of the RE/MAX National Council for the last five years and holds a management position on the board of the RE/MAX Foundation. At 36 years of age, he is the youngest RE/MAX Broker/Owner to serve on the National council, and the youngest ever recipient of the National Broker/Owner of the year award.

Under Gavin’s leadership, RE/MAX Panache, with offices in Durban North and La Lucia, have been ranked as the number one RE/MAX offices in KwaZulu-Natal since 2008.

It is far easier to lead a team to success when you are surrounded by the right people, and at RE/MAX Panache we are surrounded by some of the best in the industry from our leadership and management team, to our office administration staff and of course our agents who are industry leaders in terms of the results that they achieve in the market place, says Gavin.

He says several members of the RE/MAX Panache team were presented with awards at this year’s event and were commended for their outstanding sales performance based on various levels of registered commission achieved during 2013.

“The top honour among our agents went to Deanne Hamilton, who was recognised as the number one agent with a sales team in the country based on registered sales volumes, which is a remarkable achievement for her given the high calibre of RE/MAX agents nationwide,” says Gavin.

“RE/MAX Panache agents performed extremely well during 2013, selling over 450 homes, which translate to more than one sale a day, every day of the year. It is their effort that has made us the number one real estate team in North Durban with a 37 percent market share in the northern suburbs of Durban. Our agents have been with us for an average of six years, and on average boast 13 years of real estate experience.”

Adrian Goslett, CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa, says many of the real estate agents within the brand accomplished incredible results during 2013 due to their hard work and professionalism. “As one of the largest real estate brands in the country, RE/MAX of Southern Africa agents places a family in their ideal home almost every 15 minutes. That is a remarkable accomplishment that can be attributed to the professionalism of the 1 900 agents who we have working within our group.”

Gavin says not only was his office recognised for their sales achievements but also for their community involvement, which forms an intricate part of the RE/MAX brand ethos. “RE/MAX Panache was acknowledged as the number one RE/MAX office in KwaZulu-Natal for community involvement. Our office also came out on top at the Institute of Estate Agents KZN CARE Awards, with one of our agents winning the overall prize. We live and work in the region and are very much a part of the community.

“It is important to us to give back to our community and to ensure that our presence here uplifts the community in a positive way. Giving back is our way of thanking the many buyers and sellers who have helped make us the real estate office of choice in the northern suburbs of Durban,” he says.
