Pinelands market remains attractive

15 Sep 2006
The property market in Pinelands is still extremely active, despite the recent interest rate hikes. This can be attributed to the fact that the suburb is central and close to the CBD and airport.

"All the major shops are in the area and we have excellent private and public schools. A further boost is that we have access to great beaches," says Craig Wiley, franchisee of the Rawson Pinelands office.

The property market still remains very attractive, with many properties available in a price range from R1,25m to R4m. "Pinelands is popular with families and many people grow-up and never leave the area, I'm an example of this."

The popularity of the area is evident in the fact that the office recently recorded their highest sale. A four bedroom house, overlooking the golf course, was sold for R2,875m. The 400sq m home has stunning views of the surrounding mountains, as well as state-of-the-art security and an in-door entertainment area with a braai and a gym room.
