New Somerset West apartments from R825k selling like hotcakes

22 Sep 2016

With the rapid pace of growth at Sitari Country Estate outside Somerset West, which has just passed its 2-year mark, it is clear that the high-end specifications of its apartment blocks and the amenities on offer are a very popular combination.

Artist’s impression of the latest premium apartment block just launched at Sitari Country Estate, The Boulevard.

The first four luxury apartment blocks released in Sitari sold out quickly, and lack of availability has resulted in a waiting list for new apartment stock.

John Coetzee, one of the Directors of Uvest Property Group, the developers of Sitari, says Sitari sold out its first four apartment blocks with an average of 15 sales per month.

“Our record was selling out the entire Little Blossom complex of 55 apartments in only two weeks. This led us to fast-track the release of our third luxury apartment complex, Woodbury Lane, which was 50% sold out before release. Premium apartment block Bridgewater was released soon after and also sold out at an astonishing pace,” says Coetzee.

“The demand for well-designed, high-quality apartments in Sitari continues to grow. We have had no apartment stock for sale for the past  two-and-a-half months as we have been meticulously planning our next release. Our intention is to continuously improve on the already high standard of design and finishes. In this time our waiting list for new releases has grown to close on 300 registered buyers.”

Those on this list will be pleased that estate has just launched The Boulevard, a premium apartment complex with 68 apartments consisting of one, two and three bedroom units priced from R825 000 to R1 995 000.

Coetzee says The Boulevard offers buyers a unique concept seldom seen in the property development space - they have the freedom to choose from two apartment interior themes that specifically revolve around the kitchens, widely considered the heart of each home.

The ‘Soho Chic’ theme includes a freestanding five-burner gas/electric oven, complemented by crisp white subway splashback tiles and bespoke lighting fixtures.

The ‘Greenwich Village’ theme is a sleek, contemporary look that includes a built-in oven, hob and extractor, with a glass splashback panel and track wire lighting.

The Boulevard also offers engineered stone kitchen counters with under-slung sinks, and large-format porcelain tiles throughout the living and bedroom areas, or low-maintenance vinyl flooring in the bedrooms, and bathrooms with wall-hung toilets and large walk-in showers.

Coetzee says the apartments include covered parking bays and a limited number of optional storage units are available - ideal for storing outdoor gear like mountain bikes and golf kits.

“The interior finishing of the apartments in the estate is at a standard that has not yet been seen in the Helderberg area,” he says.

“It is comparable to that of apartment developments on the Atlantic Seaboard - and in some cases even superior. We keep raising the bar, and often-ignored details like internal door heights of 2.4m and large skirtings have now almost become standard.”

Coetzee says all these elements contribute to a more luxurious way of living, and ultimately represent exceptional value for the buyer, which is certainly one of the factors contributing to their sales success.

“This, combined with Sitari’s carefully considered landscaped park spaces and wide range of amenities that include a Curro private school, shopping centre, clubhouse with deli restaurant and heated outdoor pool, puts the estate in a class of its own in the Western Cape.”

Coetzee says it’s carefully considered urban design and exceptional product offerings have seen Sitari Country Estate nominated for an International Award at the African Property Awards for the second year in a row in the highly contested and coveted category ‘Best Residential Development South Africa’.
