New Game Centre in Mpumalanga

12 Jun 2012

Groblersdal, Mpumalanga will soon enjoy more shopping convenience at the modern Groblersdal Game Centre with Game as the anchor tenant.

The new 8 500 square metre Groblersdal Game Centre in Mpumalanga will open in November 2012, just in time to bring shoppers even more variety and value this festive season.

Game will trade from a 4 500 square metre shop, complemented by more than a dozen stores, which will meet the community’s everyday shopping needs.

Continuing its long-standing relationship with Massmart, Moolman Group is developing the new 8 500 square metre Groblersdal Game Centre scheduled to open in November 2012.

Construction has started on the new shopping centre, which is in the heart of central Groblersdal, close to schools, the municipal offices and other prominent retail amenities.

Groblersdal Game Centre is on the corner of Barlow Street and Groblers Lane.

“This is a tenant driven development and Game has wanted to be closer to the Groblersdal community for some time,” explains Pieter Lombaard, chief executive officer of Moolman Group.

He says they helped Game by sourcing suitable land and securing the best available position to meet the needs of local consumers.

Groblersdal Game Centre will be an extension of the existing CBD and will strengthen the entire CBD node, says Lombaard.

“Shoppers will get more from their local shopping experience and be better served by retail overall.”

As well as drawing shoppers from Groblersdal and its districts, Groblersdal Game Centre is expected to see shoppers coming from the economically sustainable markets from Jane Furse, Marble Hall, Dennelton, Tafelkop, Siyabushwa, Sehlakwane and smaller surrounding rural areas.

Moolman Group recently co-developed the new Middelburg Mall, as well as Limpopo’s super-regional Mall of the North and is currently developing Lephalale Mall in Limpopo.
