Launching just in time for the holiday high season, this new, fully secured residential development has been named Sandy Point Beach Estate, says Reg van Selm of marketing agency Nationlink Projects.
The stands will range in size from approximately 450sqm to 500sqm and 80 will be on the beachfront, with a second row of 40 also enjoying direct access to the beach. The remainder will have limited sea views, but have been laid out to ensure easy access to the seafront.
The beachfront plots will be sold for around R900 000, with the second row beginning at R400 000 and the rest priced at between R250 000 and R300 000 - all dependent on size and proximity to the seafront.
"This really is good value for money as a beachfront stand in Langebaan now sells for around R1,5-million and those in Yzerfontein for over R2-million,"
says Van Selm, "so we expect these stands also to sell very quickly."
St Helena is less than a two-hour drive from Cape Town, putting it within easy reach for city dwellers, especially on the R27 West Coast road. It is also warmer than Langebaan and one of the few places in world where one can see the sun rise and set over the sea.
Van Selm anticipates that buyers at Sandy Point Beach Estate will be a mix of holiday home buyers, permanent residents, and about 10 to 15 percent investors. No time limit for building completion has been set, but there will be architectural guidelines to protect home values, he notes.
