Joint ownership venture spans SA

With fractional ownership rapidly gaining popularity in South Africa as a flexible, cost-effective and hassle-free way of investing in leisure homes, an exclusive portfolio of multi-destination, high-end fractional ownership options in partnership have been launched by an SA property group.

Now marketed by PGP Vacation In Property (VIP), investment in any of the luxury properties in StoneBridge Leisure Clubs provides members with access to the entire bouquet of brand new products which currently include: the Cape Royale situated in vibrant Green Point, Cape Town; The Emperor in the heart of Sandton, Johannesburg; Kruger Park Lodge - just 12km from the Kruger National Park; and Misty Creek Mountain Estate & Spa situated in the Long Tom Pass between Lydenberg and Sabie in Mpumalanga. Jose Ventura, MD of Pam Golding VIP, says by acquiring shares in any of the prime products within the StoneBridge portfolio, members may make use of any of the destinations within the club.

In the first phase we are marketing 299 fractions with an entry level price of R322 000 and with an average price of R370 000 for title and 28 days per annum in perpetuity. The options are totally flexible, enabling a member to make use of each of the four destinations, or an executive or corporate member may wish to utilise four units at the same venue for conferencing or leisure purposes.

Owners not only partially own the property, they will also never have to become involved in the day to day running and management of the properties. Once they purchase a high-end fractional ownership property, they can simply sit back and relax, and enjoy their assets at multiple locations in South Africa – or enjoy a similar property abroad," he says.

As members will be buying off plan, in the period prior to transfer they will have access to an interim access benefit package offered by StoneBridge in conjunction with The Registry Collection and which will be valid for 12 months after taking transfer of the unit. The interim package includes one week's international complimentary access in a luxury resort, Hotel Express Gold card which offers 50 percent discount in top local and international hotels, and six 50 percent discount long weekends at five different upmarket game farms in South Africa.
