Grahamstown Flower Festival 5 & 6 Oct

04 Oct 2013

This is the fifth year that the Grahamstown Flower Festival will take place at the Makana Botanical Gardens on 5 and 6 October 2013.

The array of colourful plants and flowers in the marquee always draw much admiration

The festival has grown out of the Albany Horticultural & Lilium Society’s popular Spring Flower Show that has taken place annually in Grahamstown for the past 50 years.

The array of colourful plants and flowers in the marquee always draw much admiration, and the workshops and the Botanical Society’s plant sale are also well supported.

The open gardens attract large numbers of people who enjoy walking quietly around the green haven, created by the homeowners.

The festival offers a variety of stimulating activities and horticultural attractions, with something for the whole family.

Gates will open at 9am on both days and tickets cost R20 for adults and R10 for students and children.
