One affordable storage accessory that comes in very handy in the home is a shoe storage organiser.

These plastic or cotton shoe organisers are perfect for storage and organising a number of household accessories...

Storage for children

Over at our pinteresting family Megan transformed a plain shoe organiser for doll storage.

She mounted it onto the back of a door, and using a simple canvas shoe organiser she hot glued some ribbon to the top of each pocket, and then labelled them.

Boys toys all over the floor? You can use a transparent organiser to coral and contain action figures, and all their associated accessories.

Clear plastic or transparent shoe organisers are the best way to store craft and hobby accessories.

Even small cars can be easily stored away.

Arts and crafts

And while we are still on the subject of storage for children - you can also use shoe organisers to store their arts and craft supplies.

Clear plastic or transparent shoe organisers are the best way to store craft and hobby accessories.

The clear pockets easily allow you to see what's inside each pocket so that you don't have to hunt high and low for small accessories and items.

Clutter free bathroom

I love this idea for the bathroom as well. Mounted on the back of a bathroom door, you can store bathroom essentials to keep them from cluttering up surfaces.

In the kitchen

A shoe organiser is the perfect place to grow herbs and small plants, especially if you don't have enough garden space.

There are just so many uses for a shoe organiser - even in the kitchen.

Mounted onto the back of a pantry door, use a shoe organiser for all your baking accessories. Again, one with clear pockets allows you to see what's inside each pocket.

For smaller doors, cut your shoe organiser in half and use the other half somewhere else.

This idea has been around for quite a while, but is still one of the most practical and imaginative ways to repurpose a shoe organiser.

Gardening

If you have a small courtyard or balcony garden, this is an easy way to grow your own herbs.

And don't forget about your garden tools. A shoe organiser is the perfect place to store small garden tools or packets of seeds.

The next time you are out shopping and come across a shoe organiser, buy one. Even better, buy more than one.

There are so many ways to organise your home with a shoe organiser.
