A showcase of antique décor in Sandton

24 Jul 2014

From oil paintings to ceramics, coins and prints, excitement is building around the expanded pavilion of antiques and decorative arts that are now available at the faire.

From 25 to 27 July, the National Antiques & Decorative Arts Faire will put on a concert of period décor and collectables at the Sandton convention Centre in Johannesburg.

At the head of this exhibition is a selection of beautiful era pieces, which could be furnished the way they were originally intended or delivered with a new, vivacious twist.

Making an appearance at last year’s expo was a lime green classic car from the 50s, a retro, pink pickup truck, motorcycles, advertising boards and Gatsby inspired accessories and clothing.

From oil paintings to ceramics, coins and prints, excitement is building around the expanded pavilion of antiques and decorative arts that are now available at the faire. Collectors that are looking for something quirky will find a niche in antique dolls, copper pots, custom jewellery and accessories.

Tickets cost R100 and doors open at 10am until 6pm.
