"A key element of the estate is its low density – although it totals 80 hectares in size, just 10 hectares are being developed for residential use, with the rest reserved for open spaces, landscaping, dams and vineyards," says PGP's project manager for the Boland and Overberg, Louise Varga.
Communal facilities for the private use of residents will include the Longlands Oval, a specially designed sports and recreational facility where residents will be able to gather for social events, play cricket and other sports, and make use of children's play-parks. The estate will boast state-of-the-art security features, including electric perimeter fencing with infra-red beams and CCTV cameras, as well as 24-hour manned gatehouse and armed patrols.
PGP's MD for the Boland and Overberg, Annien Borg, says the buyers to date have included a mix of local, upcountry and a few overseas purchasers, all of them buying with the intention of living on the estate.
