Five shopping centres will be auctioned on behalf of Accelerate Property Fund at the Durban International Convention Centre on 29 October.

GoIndustry Dovebid managing director, Kim Faclier, says four of the centres are in Gauteng and the fifth is in Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal.

“The Gauteng centres are East Lynne Shopping Centre and Glen Gables Shopping Centre in Tshwane and there are two in Mellville, Johannesburg at 7 and 14 Main Road,” says Faclier.

Glen Gables is on the corner of Lynnwood Road and General Louis Botha Drive in Lynnwood Glen. The 19 960sqm property for sale consists of a retail centre and two freestanding double storey office buildings with B grade office facilities.

East Lynne Shopping Centre at 43 Baviaanspoort Road is in East Lynne, an established residential area on the north eastern corner of Baviaanspoort Road and Lapham Street. Faclier says the main arterial routes of Baviaanspoort and Stormvoel roads provide good access to the neighbourhood.

“The surrounding area is largely developed with residential and commercial properties on the busy roads and a number of shopping centres nearby. The 18 260sqm centre has a total gross lettable area of 7 679sqm and is anchored by Checkers.”

Eshowe Mall is at 111 Osborne Road in Eshowe, KZN, inland from the N2, about 136km from Durban and 80km from Richards Bay.

The two storey building on 1 5395ha has shops and offices on the ground floor and shops and a parking area with 114 bays on the top level. The key tenants are Cashbuild, Pick n Pay and Mr Price.

The auction will take place at the International Convention Centre in Durban at noon on October 29. Call Kim Faclier on 082 5546 295, send an email or visit the website.
