Rawson unveils new website

08 Apr 2013

Mid February saw the official launch and unveiling of the Rawson Property Group’s new website. A product of months of research and development, this clean and image rich website incorporates the latest technology and aims to keep the user at the forefront of all design.

The new Rawson website also includes a number of informative and functional resources, including effective bond and transfer calculators.

Neil Pursey, Rawson Property Group’s Online marketing manager, says they now believe that their website aptly communicates their brand’s personality - quirky, personal, consumer-minded and educational but serious about selling.

He says they’re excited about how it will elevate their brand in the online space.

Pursey, who worked alongside Knnktr to create the website, says it is a consumer-centric and goal-orientated website that is built around the user, with the main focus of making sure that it works perfectly for most people, instead of trying to cater to the needs of every single ‘edge case’ and thereby compromising the usability of the website for the majority of users.

“This is actually a trend adopted by the bigger property portals in South Africa and abroad, and one that we feel is successful.”

Compatibility and adaptability were also paramount to the design of the website, says Pursey, and responsive design was therefore a top priority.

Pursey says their website adapts to whatever platform you are using to view it – this means that whether it’s a laptop, desktop, iPad, tablet or cell phone, the website always looks great.

Some of the features you can expect on the new websiteare a powerful search function and value added and community-driven resources.

“We believe that the key to a great search function is simplicity and this is obvious in our search function, as it is simple but powerful at the same time. Our website emphasises the search function so that consumers can quickly and efficiently find exactly what they are looking for.”

The search intelligence will continuously be updatedbut the function will remain easy-to-use.

“We see our search functionality as a game changer,” he adds.

The new Rawson website also includes a number of informative and functional resources, including effective bond and transfer calculators. Along with various other features and functionality, new customer-focused resources will be rolled out on a weekly basis allowing users to see valuable enhancements on an ongoing basis.

Pursey says they aim to create a personalised and tailor-made experience for users on the website and they feel the best way to achieve this is by providing them with valuable resources that they can use and benefit from.

The response to the new website has been unprecedented, he says. “After just two weeks of going live, our new website already proved to be a website traffic record breaker for us, and our leads have increased by an astounding 32 percent but this is just the beginning.”
