PropCare property services website launch

26 Feb 2015

PropCare, the brainchild of Durban businessman Jaco de Lange, is a one-stop property maintenance service.

PropCare it provides a platform on mobile and web for property owners to find reliable, user-rated, property service providers and enables them to get quotations with a click of a button, meaning no more wasting time searching through directories trying to find someone that can assist.

It provides a platform on mobile and web for property owners to find reliable, user-rated, property service providers and enables them to get quotations with a click of a button, meaning no more wasting time searching through directories trying to find someone that can assist.

This is according to De Lange, who says it is a simple and easy way for property owners to access service providers from pool and garden maintenance, to handymen, plumbers, electricians, and even property attorneys.

“I’ve been a real estate agent for over 10 years and I started PropCare because I saw that my customers struggled to find reliable service providers in their areas. They used to call me for referrals and I built up a database of trusted providers, which became the foundation of PropCare,” says De Lange.

Additionally, he says PropCare actively promotes local small business providers based on positive feedback. They’ve found that it is extremely difficult for new businesses providing these services to get traction when entering the market.

“PropCare gives homeowners access to precisely the services they seek, and ranks reliable providers based on users’ service ratings, making it a win for everyone.”

Vinny Lingham from Dragon’s Den was impressed by PropCare’s business model and the gap in the market it comprehensively addresses, and committed an investment to the company in October 2014.

The partnership between Lingham and De Lange is highly complementary, says De Lange. “Vinny has taken my idea and experience in the real estate space, and has revealed all the possibilities that smart technology and his network and mentoring can make possible for PropCare. The growth in the product is inspiring.”

Lingham says he thinks PropCare is a solid offering, which homeowners everywhere will love. “I’m so excited that a Durban start-up is represented among the investments that I’ve recently made, and I couldn’t have wished for a more passionate and hardworking partner in this venture than Jaco,”

PropCare is launching in Gauteng at the Homemakers Expo at the Dome from 26 February to 1 March 2015.

By March 2016, De Lange says the whole of South Africa will be covered by PropCare’s service, providing property owners hassle free access to professional services that have been peer-reviewed and assessed, are competitively priced, and respond to a single click of a button.
