PGP appoints two Bedforview agents

06 Aug 2013

The Bedfordview office of Pam Golding Properties has announced the appointment of award-winning agents Joel Harris and Mike Mosselson, who, between them, have more than 30 years experience in real estate.

Harris has 22 years experience in real estate, much of which was spent as an agent in the north eastern suburbs of Johannesburg.

Ken Woollcott, manager of the Pam Golding Properties (PGP) Bedfordview office, says the two agents will be handling sales in the Glenhazel, Highlands North, Sydenham, Waverley and surrounding areas. Harris will also be providing property motivational training at the Bedfordview and other PGP offices in Gauteng, says Woollcott.

He says Harris and Mosselson are both  dynamic, veteran real estate agents within these areas which they know intimately and where they have built up a network of invaluable connections. “In 2009, they won the Nedbank National Property Professionals of the Year award.

"We are pleased that they have decided to join PGP and we are looking forward to a long and successful association with them.”

In 1991, Harris joined PGP as an agent at the Bedfordview office, where he operated successfully for six years. Besides a number of other accolades, Harris and his partner at the time were PGP top Agents of the Year for the Gauteng region in 1995 and were runners-up for this prestigious award on two subsequent occasions. In addition to this, they won the Highest Number of Sales Award for five consecutive years. During a stint selling property for another real estate agency, he also became involved in management and training. He has 22 years experience in real estate, much of which was spent as an agent in the north eastern suburbs of Johannesburg.

Mosselson was a highly successful agent in the north eastern suburbs for four years before joining Harris for a further eight years in the Glenhazel, Highlands North and Waverley areas.

Mosselson says he met Harris when they were 10 years old and the two always said they would work together when they were older. This came true in 2002 when Harris was a manager at a real estate company and employed Mosselson as an agent. Mosselson was a highly successful agent in the north eastern suburbs for four years before joining Harris for a further eight years in the Glenhazel, Highlands North and Waverley areas. Here the two made a formidable name for themselves.

Mosselson says he thoroughly enjoys the challenge of the real estate sector and working with people which his work entails. Harris says he is passionate about real estate and training and he loves to inspire, motivate and empower people.

“As the premier real estate brand in South Africa, PGP aims to attract the most outstanding and experienced agents available,” observes Woollcott. “The result is that clients know they can draw on the vast knowledge of our staff and count on their integrity,” he says.

As the leaves begin to change and the air turns crisp, the autumn season presents a unique opportunity for home buyers in South Africa. With lower competition and a variety of properties available, this is the perfect time to invest in your dream home.

One of the major expenses beyond the purchase price of a home is transfer costs and bond registration fees. It can take time to save up enough to cover these upfront costs, so the sooner buyers start thinking about this, the better.

Negotiation is a process. Sometimes, a low offer is just the starting point for a fair deal. An agent can help bridge the gap between buyer and seller expectations and can let you know when it’s best to move on.
